I must make a great effort to motivate me and keep running, so, I focus the reasons that convinced me to come here.
I always wanted to do a lifetime experience in London, but I never had enough money, no time, to do so. I told to myself, for years, a lot of stories and sets a lot of categorical imperatives. So, I always postpone such desire at the right time, after graduation, the after the training period, after the official exam for the legal profession. Without realizing that there is no right or wrong time, you just have to decide and work towards the realization of the objective.
Especially in my field, or you take a clear decision or you remain incorporated into a magma made of expense reimbursements and paltry commissions. Three years after graduation, in fact, still I am earning about 500 Euros per month. Not much. The situation was unbearable for me, because I wanted to save a small hoard in order to finally leave.
Stove and demotivated, I began to think of taking a period of reflection. I would have liked to change my life, at least for a while. Breaking those chains from which I felt tight and with no way of escape.
It wedged perfectly into an automatic mechanism, like a small wheel in his watch, functional and efficient.
One day I was on the phone with my friend Sara and I complained of my life. She enlightened me with a simple phrase: “Friend, come to Milan. You will work three months as Tobacco hostess for the agency I work, they are hiring in this period. Send your application, you’ll see they will hire you! Make some money and then you can go abroad“.
I’ve thought about it half a minute, actually. Then, thanks to my youth and reckless as only those who have not yet turned thirty may be, I decided to try. Within two weeks I greeted the Asinelli’s tower and known Castello Sforzesco.
I do not know if I did well. What is certain is that the work is well paid and is very flexible as schedules, which allows me to organize in peace my departure. I live day by day, moment by moment, as did not happened to me in a long time. Of course, all thanks to the hospitality of Sara.
What a girl!
He is chasing the dream of becoming a radio’s speaker. She was in Bologna too for University and then she moved, years ago, in Milan hoping to achieve it.
Almost thirty years, she shares, by choice, a room with another worker, in an apartment with two other students and when I ask if she is not tired of living with other people, she told me, “I don’t think! All life in our house!” I love her, always.
But I’m digressing.

Lesson n. 3 – In Milan, running is also for catch dreams
